I really think that learning the basics is crutical when you get started. I personally found that videos and <a href="http://www.gogoguitars.com/beginner-guitar-lessons">beginner guitar lessons</a> saved me months of time.

Thanks for the software. Would be really nice if you could click the string chart to toggle notes and have it show you which chord that is. e.g. What's a D-chord if I play the e-string open... (after clicking many I chords in your list I see Dsus2?) That would add something to this program that I can't get by Googling a chord name. Also, you could add a list of other names for the selected chord. That would be pretty easy to code.

had a quick look and ye its cool. problem is that you dont always have a PC handy - what about writing someting for a cellular phone - the will be really cool!
